- Change your system time to a year far in the future. Like 2045
- create a new file in any folder
- set your system time back to today
- browse to the folder where you created the file, sort the files by date, change View --> Arrange by Icons --> Show in Groups

The other way around...just set your date to 1980 and follow the step's like before.
